No Worries...

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? ~ Matthew 6:27

I admit it. I'm an analytical person. I turn things over in my head and I think on them. That can pan out brilliantly as I work out or solve a problem. It can also get me stuck in a rut mulling something over...sometimes even "somethings" that don't exist. My quick mind can make a mountain out of...well...a plain old, flat, dirt field. You may or may not be like this, but I bet you have worried. At times. In essence, it makes you paranoid, stressed, and ineffective. Worrying makes nothing better. It only makes things worse. So, I encourage you, turn that worry away and rely on One who is greater than your worry.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus ~ Philippians 4:6-7

Small Beginnings

It is interesting starting something like this. No one knows it exists yet and it is entirely possible that no one but myself will ever look at it...though hopefully unlikely.

So I begin this blog with a dedication...

Praise the Lord.

Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord.

Let the name of the Lord be praised,
   both now and forevermore.

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.

The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
   his glory above the heavens.

on the heavens and the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust
Who is like the Lord our God,
the One who sits enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
   and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes,
with the princes of their people.

He settles the barren woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.
